Operations Director - Automotive/EV Charging Location: Hertfordshire/London (Hybrid Working) Salary: £90k-£110k + Company Car + Bonus About the Role: My client, a rapidly growing Charge Point Operator, are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead the projects team for a key client in the EV Charging industry. This is a strategic role that focuses on optimising team performance, driving productivity, and ensuring successful project delivery across the division. A critical part of this role involves managing Distribution Network Operators (DNO) and grid connections, ensuring seamless integration and compliance. Reporting to the executive team, you will manage three direct reports and oversee a broader team of 20 indirect reports. Your leadership will be pivotal in scaling operations and delivering on key business objectives. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage three direct reports (Heads of Departments) and oversee a team of 20 indirect reports.
- Drive productivity and operational efficiency within the division.
- Oversee and manage relationships with Distribution Network Operators (DNO) and handle all aspects of grid connections.
- Ensure successful delivery of projects and programmes, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the wider business strategy.
- Oversee supply chain management, project timelines, and relationships with external stakeholders.
- Proven experience managing departments with around 20 personnel, including both direct and indirect reports.
- Strong background in operations, project management, or technical roles within the EV Charging sector.
- Demonstrated success in a Director-level role with a focus on driving team performance.
- Expertise in managing large-scale programmes and projects from inception to completion.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to deliver on complex business objectives.
