Timac Agro South Africa is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Manager to drive the profitability of our designated regions. The Regional Manager will act as a coach and manager to the Technical Sales Representatives (TSRs) and will also partner with distributors within the region. This role demands a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills who can establish an environment conducive to future sales growth. Responsibilities
- Revenue and Profitability: Achieve the region’s revenue and profitability targets.
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, induction, performance management, and growth and development to motivate, engage, and retain staff.
- Mentorship: Provide quality mentorship for TSRs, upholding the company’s values.
- Selling Activities Management: Direct the region’s selling activities, including resource deployment and customer interactions.
- Forecasting and Sales Tracking: Responsible for the region’s forecasting and sales tracking.
- Vision Setting and Business Planning: Set the vision for the region and develop and adhere to a business plan to attain this vision.
- Market Trend Evaluation: Evaluate market trends, gather competitive information, and identify trends that affect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.
- Decision Making: Analyze information and evaluate results to make the best decisions in solving problems and providing direction, support, and assistance to the region.
- Task Efficiency: Develop specific plans and goals to accomplish tasks efficiently.
- Team Spirit: Encourage and build team spirit among staff, fostering mutual respect and cooperation.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify and exploit new opportunities to benefit the company.
Profile
- Strong leadership abilities
- Sales Experience and Network of Clients
- Plant and animal nutrition expertise
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of the agriculture industry or similar (e.g., forestry)
