At EssentiallySports, we are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Operations Manager to join our growing team and elevate our operational efficiency to unmatched levels. Responsibilities:

  • Problem-Solving & Innovation: Identify and analyze operational challenges across departments. Develop and implement innovative solutions that enhance performance, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Cultivate a high-performing and inclusive environment that empowers diverse teams to reach their full potential. Coach and mentor team members to foster growth and development.
  • Strategic Operations Management: Supervise multiple sports divisional teams, ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly efficiency through meticulous planning, prioritization, and execution. Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's overall strategic goals.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data analysis and visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc. to analyze website traffic, customer engagement, and social media data. Optimize resource allocation, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable insights that guide executive decision-making. Past successes in this area have resulted in a 15% increase in content production efficiency.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Foster transparent communication channels and build strong relationships across departments. Promote a culture of documentation and active engagement in internal meetings to drive innovation and growth.
Objectives of the Role:
  • Enhance Daily Output: Continuously refine existing processes to boost organizational output and maximize productivity. Track progress and measure success using established metrics.
  • Strategic Alignment: Support strategic and operational goals, ensuring alignment between team activities and company priorities. Contribute to informed personnel decisions and talent acquisition.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure timely execution of operational tasks within defined parameters and consistently achieve daily targets. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Collaborate with HR-Recruitment to identify staffing needs, streamline onboarding processes, and facilitate seamless transitions for new team members.
  • KPI Performance: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to facilitate continuous improvement and attain operational excellence. Develop and implement strategies to address areas for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven Leadership: Possess a minimum of 4+ years of experience managing teams of 15-20 members in a fast-paced setting. Demonstrated success in leading and motivating teams to achieve ambitious objectives.
  • Remote Team Management Expertise: Proven track record in effectively managing remote teams, fostering collaboration, and achieving ambitious objectives. Strong understanding of communication strategies and tools for remote teams.
  • Exceptional Communication: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Workspace, and other relevant tools for communication, collaboration, and project management.
  • Conflict Resolution & Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal acumen with the ability to resolve conflicts constructively, build consensus, and nurture positive relationships within diverse teams.
  • Organizational Efficiency: Highly organized and detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, maintain operational control, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Passion for Sports: Display a genuine interest in sports and a desire to contribute to the sports media landscape. A positive and optimistic leadership approach that aligns with the company culture.
  • Operations Management Experience: Prior experience in operations management is a must. Experience in the media or publishing industry is a plus.
