The board members cannot make any assumptions about the candidate's experience and will not contact candidates for additional, or potentially missing information.DutiesThe architect is part of the Microsoft Power BI Centre of Excellence under the Data Warehouse Services (DWS) team. The architect will work with users, developers, data modellers, DBAs, and consultants in order to maintain an efficient reporting system running on SSAS Tabular and Power BI Report Server. DWS will be migrating their data marts to the Microsoft Azure Cloud and leveraging Microsoft Fabric in the near future to improve their analytics. The architect will also advise on the methods that can be used to efficiently transfer data from on-premise sources to the Data Lake and other databases in the Cloud.Their responsibilities include:Training and advising users on developing dashboards with Power BI Desktop;Updating Power BI Report Server;Liaising with data modellers regarding modelling data in Power BI Desktop and SSAS Tabular;Writing and/or updating Authority to Operate (ATO) documents such as the Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documents.Work environmentAbout the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC): The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) contributes to public safety by actively encouraging and assisting offenders to become law-abiding citizens, while exercising reasonable, safe, secure, and humane control. Recent and significant experience with analysis, design, development, implementation of complex reports & dashboards using Microsoft Power BI Desktop. Experience developing and maintaining dimensional data models in relational databases and/or Microsoft SSAS Tabular using industry best practice. Recent experience with SQL.
