Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join their team in the Defence sector. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the project lifecycle and a proven track record of managing complex projects. This role requires a professional who can collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, ensuring that project requirements are accurately captured and executed within budget and timelines. Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business units to capture and refine project requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Documentation & Quality Assurance: Ensure all project demands are documented to a high standard, raising them with the appropriate teams and stakeholders for review and approval.
  • Project Initiation: Support the business during the initiation phase, facilitating the smooth transition from concept to execution.
  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, engaging with both internal and external parties to drive project success.
  • Statement of Work (SOW) Development: Liaise with IT teams and external suppliers to develop comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW), ensuring all technical and business requirements are met.
  • Approval Process: Present the SOW to business stakeholders for approval, addressing any concerns and ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Cost Management: Build and manage project costs, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
Experience & Skills Required:
  • Proven experience in running projects, with a deep understanding of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience working closely with business units to produce, refine, and approve requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and successful project outcomes.
  • Experience in building and managing project budgets, including obtaining costs from internal and external suppliers.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
