If this resonates with you, please continue reading...About the JobAs a Product Manager for our ecommerce accounting automation product for Shopify, you will be responsible for driving the product strategy, development, and lifecycle management for the leading product in its category. You will work closely with a cross-functional team, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success, to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our users - working particularly closely with a split engineering team based both in New Zealand and Toronto.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.Customer Research & Insights: Engage with customers, prospects, and stakeholders to gather insights, identify pain points, and translate them into actionable product requirements and features.Feature Prioritization: Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer impact, business value, and technical feasibility. Make informed trade-offs to ensure timely and successful product releases.Product Development: Collaborate with engineering and design teams to define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Manage the product development process, from concept to launch, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Manage customer beta test programs.Go-to-Market Strategy: Work closely with marketing and sales to develop go-to-market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and promotional activities that drive product adoption and revenue growth.Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to monitor product performance, user engagement, and customer satisfaction. Make data-driven decisions to optimize the product and improve key metrics such as user retention and churn.Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related matters, providing regular updates to stakeholders on product status, timelines, and key metrics.Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. Identify opportunities for differentiation and growth within the eCommerce accounting space.User Experience: Ensure that the product delivers an intuitive user experience, focusing on ease of use, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Key Required SkillsExperience: 5+ years of product management experience in a SaaS environment.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of SaaS platforms, APIs, and modern web technologies. Ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams.
