We Go Beyond for A Safer World Senior Software Engineer Te Tūranga - The Role We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in all phases of the product lifecycle, particularly for complex systems. Responsibilities include reviewing and critiquing designs and training others in engineering design methodologies. Key focuses of the position include:

  • Product design
  • Design methodology and technology
The duties of the role will include:
  • Requirements capture, analysis and modelling.
  • Design specification and implementation.
  • Test specification and execution.
  • Critical examination of design solutions.
  • Debugging and correcting faulty designs.
  • Assisting other engineers to correct faulty designs.
  • Training and mentoring other engineers in engineering methodologies.
  • Leadership of the design effort by demonstration of innovation and depth of knowledge across a broad range of engineering activities within the discipline.
  • Support of team by assisting other engineers in their work, as shown by the others improving in their performance of skills already held, or by the others acquiring new skills, or by the increased rate of acquisition of new skills by the other engineers in the team.
  • Participation in formal review of his or her work and test results, and where appropriate, initiation and leadership of peer reviews.

  • Being able to confidently discuss the range of Tait products, their features and understand the requirements of the marketplace.
