If you're a Software Engineer who loves data, configuration, integration, solutioning, collaboration and want to use your skills for the greater good… then we have the perfect role for you! At ASB, we're all about doing what we can to help our customers get "One Step Ahead" by giving them the tools they need to manage their lives and plans for their families and future. Our products don't just serve ads or stream movies - they underpin our economy and touch people's lives. The Financial Crime Platform is here to prevent and manage the impact of financial crime, and to do this well we need the best tech. This is where you come in! About the role: We're after the best Software Engineer to join our crime-fighting AML technology squads and be a key part in helping us deliver software that stops Money Laundering in its tracks. As part of the AML Squad, you'll be on the forefront of ETL/ELT, building and supporting our financial crime fighting technology capability, cutting code to ensure our systems keep up with changes, and ensuring our systems run efficiently and reliably, formulating solutions, communicating your solutions for peer review, and driving implementation. We have cutting-edge vendor tools within this platform, so you'll also be across configuring and modifying specialty tools, adding new functionality, integrating with other ASB systems, and supporting vendor applications running on our servers or in the cloud. Our teams also help ASB meet its regulatory obligations, so an understanding of Data Management and Data Controls would be a huge advantage for you. We are looking for an individual that will take ownership of the work that had been assigned to him/her. You are pragmatic and devise effective solutions that are delivered on time. You are also the sort of person that seeks help when necessary, seizing the opportunity to learn, as well as offering to help others when they need a teacher. You will work collaboratively with our squads and stakeholders to be the voice of engineering and deliver products that delight our customers. We are looking for someone who has:
  • 3+ years of software engineering/ data engineering experience or be working in Financial Crime for 3+ years.
  • Advanced StreamSets or equivalent ETL/ELT tools (i.e. Dbt)
  • Experience with unit testing
  • Intermediate - Advanced SQL Server database knowledge
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in learning and applying software and architectural patterns
In addition, the following would be an advantage:
  • Knowledge of security principles, e.g., secrets, passwords, certificates
  • Experience in Oracle DB, Snowflake, or other data warehousing tools.
  • Understanding of Kafka or other messaging technologies
  • Experience of Windows and Linux Servers
  • Knowledge of AML, ISO would be a bonus.
Working at ASB: ASB's sense of who we are and what we stand for is grounded in our values. They guide our business in our day-to-day interactions with our team, customers and community.
