Reporting to the VP of Product for Digital Banking and working alongside senior management, the Director, Product Management is accountable for developing a banking product strategy roadmap across multiple pods, that will help EQ deliver a better banking experience for our customers. Key ownership for this role includes understanding customer needs and feedback, developing new banking digital products that support customers and bank business objectives, efficient project delivery and management of online banking functionality that is available to customers 24/7.

Critical to the role is the ability to coach, mentor, & manage current and new members of our Product team. This role will manage a core product team with 3+ product managers and will own multiple product teams working on the digital banking experience.

You Will

Understand our users (banking customers) needs through direct customer interaction, working with the customer service team, conducting surveys and reviewing user behavior data

Develop a product strategy across multiple teams for key functionality offered by EQ Bank that will help meet banking customer needs and help EQ meet its annual business goals. Communicate this strategy to our senior leadership team.

Deliver end-to-end leadership and oversight on all projects resulting from the above product strategy including developing product requirement documents with their team, risk assessments, and execution of work required for product delivery. Oversee and/or manage large cross functional technical teams, non-technical resources and project issues across multiple locations.

Develop differentiated financial products and work with our financial teams

Measure impact of new and existing products to understand customer behavior and verify that the products are having an effect on business metrics

Manage performance and a high-impact product team

Resolve highly complex, multi-faceted problems, which are often unstructured and without precedent to meet the business needs in the best interest of customers and bank staff

Communicate effectively with senior management to help them understand how existing products are performing and how new product or technical investments will impact the business.

Work cross-functionally with non-technical teams critical to EQ Bank's operations including legal, compliance, finance, customer experience, operational risk, fraud and security

Your Knowledge & Skills

7+ years of product management experience

5+ years of experience in leading e-commerce platform, mobile product, banking finance product, payment process product, or any adjacent product experience

2+ years of people management experience in demonstrating high-level coaching and leading a team of at least 3+ product managers.

Proven track record with specific examples of delivering customer-facing and business impact on services with customer bases beyond 50K users

Experience at a fintech or with financial products is a plus
