Our Supplier Management team is here to maintain strong collaborative partnerships with our suppliers, which deliver value and make the budget work better. As a Supplier Manager you will focus on working to the Supplier Management Framework & Partner Charter to ensure consistent engagement and governance, there is an important focus on identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and avoiding value leakage. This role makes a real contribution to business priorities by ensuring those opportunities are delivered and benefits realised. This position follows a hybrid model with a 4.5 day working week. Our teams work from our vibrant head office in Bradford for a minimum of 2 days per week and remotely for the remainder, Monday to Friday. Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of our office. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying opportunities across the supplier landscape to improve delivery of services
  • Collaborating with business functions to ensure the supplier landscape and contracts stay aligned to business objectives
  • Supporting business functions with cost optimisation programs and minimising cost risks
  • Supporting business owners with renewals and negotiations
  • Ensuring rebates are received and no penalties incurred
  • Maximising the value Morrisons sees from its Partners and suppliers
  • Delivering cost reduction workstream
  • Being that point of contact for the business and suppliers
  • Embedding cohesive ways of working to enable success
  • Running events to promote collaboration and innovation
  • Upskilling colleagues on commercial awareness and supplier management

  • Commercially astute
  • Experience in a similar role within a commercial or procurement setting would be advantageous
  • Able to build strong relations across the business and strategic partners - with the ability to guide, influence and be a critical friend
  • Able to navigate complex operational and contractual situations
  • Have the drive to problem solve and lead projects which deliver business changing outcomes
  • Resilient to the dynamic and fast paced environment of retail
