Manager, Accounts (General Ledger)

Overview Responsible for overseeing the month-end closing process and play a pivotal role in driving one of the key pillars of our Finance Transformation initiatives. This role requires a detail-oriented and strategic thinker who can manage the GL team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support continuous improvement in our finance processes. The ideal candidate will also be a subject matter expert in handling the accounting system. Job Responsibilities

1. Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all GL-related activities.
2. Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and reports in accordance with MFRS.
3. Lead, mentor, and develop the GL team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
4. Lead one of the core pillars of the Finance Transformation project, focusing on process optimization and automation.
5. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures to maintain the integrity of financial data.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve accounting issues.
7. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
8. Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.

1. Possess a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. ACCA/CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
3. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger management.
4. Proven experience in leading month-end closing processes and financial reporting.
5. Strong understanding of MFRS and internal control frameworks.
6. Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
7. Experience in implementing accounting systems is an added advantage.
