We're seeking a visionary Commercial Director - Digital to drive our digital strategy, delivering innovation and sustainable commercial growth for MediaWorks. In this pivotal role you will be responsible for setting and executing our digital strategy. Reporting to the CEO, you will be a senior leader that has extensive digital experience with the ability to scale capability, drive high performance, accountability, and leverage leading edge consumer and advertiser tech to achieve profitable commercial outcomes. With your strong business acumen, ideally in media or tech you will support MediaWorks achieve our strategic growth objective in digital transformation. What you'll do: Your purpose is to drive profitable digital revenue growth through building an effective and scalable advertising sales product, subscription models, and other monetisation strategies. Your deep understanding of the digital landscape, implications of programmatic media, automation and importance of tangible performance data and its ability to drive advertising revenue will be instrumental in achieving excellence within the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Vision: Inspire, communicate and execute effectively the digital strategy. Results Driven: Set clear expectations and goals to achieve revenue targets, whilst systematically measuring performance and adapting to optimise outcomes. Including influencing the pricing and trading strategies to improve commercial results. Audience Growth & Engagement: Drive initiatives to grow and engage the digital audience through product development, content creation and optimisation, user experience enhancements, and audience development strategies.  Inclusive Leadership: Articulates a compelling vision and adeptly builds and leads teams to deliver on that vision. Exhibits a high level of emotional intelligence and effectively manages change. Customer Centric: Partners to understand and translate business initiatives into advertiser outcomes where digital solutions will provide value and benefits. Future Focused: Identify and explore emerging trends, disruptive technologies, and digital opportunities to drive innovation, future growth and enhance Mediaworks's reputation with advertisers and consumers in digital capability.  Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate cross functionally within Mediaworks to ensure alignment and integration of digital initiatives across the organisation.  Successfully manage and cultivate relationships with international partners and supplier agreements. What you'll bring: The ideal candidate will have 15+ years' experience and a successful track record in a senior commercial leadership position, building capability, coaching and scaling a high performing customer, sales and digital teams in a media or technology company. Demonstrating experience in successful delivery of a complex digital program of work that is consumer/advertiser facing addressing a diverse set of strategic and operational issues.

  • Communicator and Influential: Excels in communication in building relationships across all levels of the organisation and with external partners, inspiring confidence and trust in the digital vision.
  • Commercially Astute: With experience in P&L management and delivering successful financial outcomes. Working in membership or subscription models (acquisition, retention, churn).
  • Data Fluent: Strong understanding of data, from collection to governance to analysis and activation. Focusing on creating robust 1st party data and audience insights that can be effectively leveraged in the consumer and ad product to scale audiences and grow revenue. Including best practices for data privacy and other protection regulations.
