NO SPONSORSHIPS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. This is a full-time, direct hire, REMOTE opportunity with our client. Must reside on the East Coast of the USA. We are seeking a Technical Sales Manager - Component Products who will manage geographic sales activities of the company by performing the following duties personally or via subordinate account managers, sales engineers, or other sales personnel. The position will be based out of Methuen, MA, HQ (REMOTE) , and requires previous experience in high-technology capital equipment sales and account management in the semiconductor industry. Pay Rate: 80k - 95k/yr

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding response time and customer service for incoming leads and technical inquiries.
  • Use your technical and business skills to engage customers, brand yourself as a trusted advisor, and close deals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with our Logistics, Customer Support, and Administration teams to provide a seamless customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Work with the Product and Marketing teams to relay the voice of the customer and help position the product in North America.
  • Develop and control geographic sales activities and programs.
  • Prepare meeting reports, within 24 hours of the event, for all internal and external meetings that the sales team attends.
  • Prepare and update the forecast report located on SharePoint at every customer touchpoint and/or every Friday afternoon.
  • Analyze sales statistics to formulate policies and programs and to assist the company in promoting sales.
  • Review market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develop sales campaigns to accommodate the goals of the company.
  • Direct product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from the sales line.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings and shows to promote products.
  • Coordinate liaison between the sales department and other sales-related units.
  • Assist with the preparation of quotations, manuals, technical publications, and other documentation at the discretion of management, as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in engineering, business, or marketing.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in technical sales or a marketing role and/or training; or other equivalent combination of technical education and experience selling a technical product.
  • Excellent data and presentation skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc. (Power BI or similar experience, a plus.)
  • Experience using a CRM to keep detailed customer information (Dynamics 365, SalesForce, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor industry (Vacuum Knowledge) is a must.
  • Ability to manage complex sales deals with extended sales cycles.
  • Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work across multiple cultures and in an ambiguous environment.
  • Technical understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing process and equipment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel extensively both domestically and internationally as required (25% travel).
