About the Company Randstad is partnering with a retail F&B group that has massively expanded its business in recent years. The group specializes in providing an experience of food in bold flavors and contemporary dining experiences all across Malaysia. With the rapid expansion and growth of the business, the finance team is looking to onboard a new Accounts Payable Executive to the team. About the Job Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for accounting tasks, including processing payments, verifying invoices, and performing account reconciliations. You should exhibit sound knowledge of best practices in accounting and have experience in a similar role. An accomplished accounts payable executive has accounting expertise that translates into optimized expense control processes.

  1. Report regularly to the Finance Manager on work deliverables.
  2. Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data.
  3. Receive, process, verify, and reconcile invoices.
  4. Compare system reports to balances and verify entries.
  5. Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers, as well as control petty cash spending.
  6. Verify vendor accounts, pay vendors, and resolve purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
  7. Issue purchase order amendments and stop payments.
  8. Monitor payroll expense claims, including salary advances and overtime payments.
  9. Reconcile account transactions with the general ledger.
  10. Perform recordkeeping and prepare financial reports.
  11. Keep informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting.
Qualifications and Requirements
  1. At least 2-3 years of working experience in a similar position.
  2. Possess a recognized degree in Accountancy or professional qualification.
  3. Experience in the Food and Beverage or Hospitality industry is an added advantage.
  4. Strong command of written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (added advantage).
  5. Strong computing skills and experience in operating e-Finance systems.
