Marsh McLennan is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Gurgaon/Noida India office: Senior Principal Engineer - IT Systems Engieering What can you expect?

  • Hands-on Experience in Oracle WebLogic, Apache Tomcat & Apache Server.

  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with minimal direction.
  • Work in 24x7 shifts on a rotation basis, including on-call support.
  • Identify and assess project risks and issues.
  • Provide key performance indicators (KPIs) and project status updates.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
  • Ensure project managers and teams have the necessary information and support.
  • Communicate project status and changes to relevant parties.

Shared Transport (Provided the address falls in service zone) You will be part of the Oracle Weblogic Support team, focused on enabling the success of the organization by providing support for the MMC stakeholders globally. We will count on you to: Provide Tier III support per project needs; investigate and troubleshoot issues; perform regular log analysis, security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. Plan & perform major version upgrades of WebLogic Application Server, Apache Tomcat & Apache Web Server. Provide on-call rotational production technical support, manages severity level 1 issues, and implements via change controls as well as contributes to production issue resolution. Analyzing and fine tuning the server parameters (JVM Size, Thread pool size, Garbage Collection Process etc.) Support operational excellence by identifying ongoing operational issues, root-cause analyses on system outages and identify the relevant remediation plans to strategically address them. Partner with the Problem Management on implementing Service Improvement Programs Define the design and implementation of new technologies or software version upgrades to the highest level of quality. Recommend exploitation of new features/functions of upgrade software, DR design, implementation, and testing Support operational excellence by identifying ongoing operational issues, root-cause analyses on system outages and identify the relevant remediation plans to strategically address them. Partner across the organization to ensure the timely and accurate implementation of systems to support key business applications and DR activities. Reduce risk through end-of-server-life upgrades and reduce costs through ongoing consolidation and AWS / Azure cloud initiatives. Ensure to have zero security vulnerabilities in the systems whether servers or applications. If any are reported, facilitate quick remediation basis this associated risk / severity. Create and maintain technical documents such as knowledge base articles, infrastructure diagrams, and FAQs. Perform routine housekeeping and health monitoring. Write Linux/UNIX Shell Scripts as and when needed for monitoring, recycling, automating tasks, etc. Candidate must be flexible in terms of working hours due to the nature of the role. Establish and maintain regular written or verbal communication with the stake holders regarding project updates. Candidate should have analytical approach to issue troubleshooting and be resourceful in the times of heavy workload. Weekend work and extended days to support organized changes or incidents may be required – but through prior agreement. What you need to have:
