About Our Client The company is a leading MNC within the chemical manufacturing industry, serving diverse industries including agriculture, food processing, and industrial applications. They are looking for a Key Account Manager to join their growing team in Kuching. Job Description

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients.
  • Proactively address client needs and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for key accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for additional sales within existing client portfolios, focusing on value-added services.
  • Focus on retaining clients by delivering exceptional service and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Lead the negotiation process for new and existing contracts, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and the client.
  • Manage contract renewals to secure long-term agreements that align with business objectives.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities within key accounts.
  • Oversee the billing and payment process, working closely with finance teams to ensure timely collections.
  • Address any payment issues promptly, maintaining a healthy financial relationship with clients.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing account activities, financial performance, and sales forecasts.
  • Provide strategic insights to guide business decisions and identify potential risks or growth opportunities.
The Successful Applicant
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the B2B chemical industry.
  • Deep knowledge of inorganic chemicals and key account management processes.
  • Proven success in managing international clients and handling cross-border transactions.
  • Strong skills in sales planning and forecasting.
  • Consistent achievement in meeting sales goals and growing client accounts.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, contract management, and conflict resolution.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
