The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will be responsible for developing and implementing automated tests to ensure the highest standards of quality and seamless deployments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both software development and quality assurance, with a focus on creating robust and reliable test automation frameworks.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement automated test frameworks and scripts for Odoo modules, Silverdale Module Extensions and customizations.
Enable us to release our updates with minimal QA effort.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand the software requirements and design test plans accordingly.
Identify, document, and track software defects and ensure their timely resolution.
Conduct performance, scalability, and reliability testing to ensure the software meets the required standards.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality of the codebase.
Continuously improve and optimize test automation processes and tools.
Mentor and train QA team members on test automation best practices and tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as an SDET or in a similar role.
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
Familiarity with Odoo and its modules is highly desirable.
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong understanding of software development and QA methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Desired SkillsExperience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
