IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

To ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of enterprise infrastructures by managing and supporting UNIX/Linux operating systems and related technologies. The role involves designing and implementing reliable solutions, maintaining system integrity, and optimizing performance to meet business needs. It also includes automation, configuration management, and ensuring compliance with security protocols.

HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS YOUR TALENT

Support enterprise infrastructures, particularly UNIX/Linux operating systems, ensuring high availability, resilience, and integrity.

Design and implement reliable, cost-effective solutions to address enterprise business requirements.

Oversee the implementation and operations of enterprise infrastructures, ensuring efficient functionality.

Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, and key processes, while reviewing system and application logs, and ensuring the completion of scheduled tasks such as backups.

Monitor operating system and server performance, recommending enhancements to optimize resource utilization and avoid potential bottlenecks.

Maintain records of system downtime and equipment inventory, apply firmware and software updates, and collaborate with vendors for support activities.

Gather technical information from stakeholders, develop action plans, and work to improve SLA/OLA with other functions and departments.

Manage and document configuration activities, maintaining an up-to-date inventory of systems and components.

Ensure system availability through periodic checks and standard maintenance routines.

Support production enterprise systems running on UNIX (AIX, Solaris), Linux (OEL, RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu, CentOS), Veritas Storage Foundation, RH GFS2, and Pacemaker Cluster.

Implement security controls, perform periodic OS patching, and conduct firmware upgrades to safeguard systems.

Improve and report on enterprise system KPIs for operational and management reporting.

Utilize and implement automation tools such as Ansible Automation Tower and RedHat Satellite for efficient system management.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Qualification:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a reputable institution.#J-18808-Ljbffr
