Our client, a leading global investment bank, are actively seeking a Senior Front Office Java Developer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical projects, leveraging your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices to drive the development of innovative solutions. As a Front Office Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications for their trading systems. Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, traders, and other technology teams, you will contribute to the development of scalable and robust solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, experience with Spring Boot and microservices, and a solid understanding of front-office trading operations in the financial industry. What you offer:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ideally 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, preferably within the financial industry or a front-office trading environment.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language, with experience in developing enterprise-grade applications.
- Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework for building microservices-based applications.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and related technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Familiarity with front-office trading systems and financial instruments such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, or foreign exchange.
- Knowledge of messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and caching technologies (e.g., Redis, Hazelcast) is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
- Proactive mindset, ability to work independently, and willingness to take ownership of tasks and deliverables.
