Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs.
  • Plan, develop, deliver, and coordinate effective EHS training to co-workers, contractors, and visitors.
  • Ensure incidents are reported and investigated in a timely manner.
  • Ensure a proper injury prevention plan exists to continuously improve safety performance.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate EHS inspections and EHS audits.
  • Advise and coordinate to ensure necessary EHS related monitoring activities are performed in accordance with regulatory and company EHS requirements.
  • Work with the engineering team to design, install, and maintain new or modified equipment/processes as necessary to ensure EHS risks are well managed.
  • Conduct risk assessments with the plant team and enforce preventative measures.
  • Implement and monitor safe management best practices.
  • Oversee pest control in the plant.
  • Carry out any other instructions made by the employer on any matters pertaining to EHS or any other duties.

Qualifications

  • Degree in EHS, or related degree (Health Science, Engineering, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a safety and health practitioner in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations.
  • Competency in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control.
  • Possession of Certification of Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM) or Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) will be an added advantage.
