As our Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to the build, test and maintenance of our infrastructure, both on-premise and cloud. Your key focus will be the performance and enhancement of secure technology infrastructure and platforms across Orion. This role will use your range of skills, where you’ll have the ability to find your niche and the work you are passionate about. - Responsible for the delivery of secure reliable infrastructure solutions for both on-premise and cloud for our Corporate and Operating Technology environments
- Participate in and utilise the reference architecture for applications and platforms to create new solutions and enhancement of existing systems
- Identify opportunities for improving automated monitoring and resolution of issues with our customers in mind
- Undertake hands-on engineering to maintain and deliver infrastructure including Networking, Firewalls and Patching
- Maintain on-premise telephony system, working with support partners to ensure availability and quality of service
- Provide guidance, support and coaching to embed service excellence for our customers
- Relevant degree, professional qualification or a depth of experience gained in a similar role within a complex environment
- Sound understanding of Microsoft operating systems, Azure, cybersecurity, VMware and Network Attached Storage
- Experience with cloud platforms, services and toolsets
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Previous experience in automation and scripting
- Strong attention to detail, be self-motivated and enjoy working in a team
- Flexible working arrangements, and flexible locations with our Head office in Burnside and satellite offices in Rolleston and Ferrymead
