MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To ensure an efficient and professional pharmaceutical service is provided to the hospital and publicKEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Lead and manage the people in the department
- Manage pharmaceutical stock (own, loan and consignment)
- Manage and mitigate departmental risks
- Manage and control departmental budgets / finances
- Deliver a safe and efficient pharmaceutical service
- Provide an out-patient pharmacy service
REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION B Pharm / BSc PharmREQUIRED EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 3 years working as a pharmacist in a community or institutional/ hospital pharmacy DESIRED EXPERIENCE 3-5 years supervisory or managerial experience in an institutional/hospital pharmacyREQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Risk management processes and procedures
- Pharmacy and related healthcare industry
- Ethical and surgical product knowledge
- Relevant Pharmacy legislation (e.g. Pharmacy Act; Good pharmacy practice; Medicine Control Act 101 of 1965)
- Medical Aid Scheme benefits; regulations and formularies
- Clinical pharmacy and antimicrobial stewardship
- "route" is used for session stickiness
- "careerSiteCompanyId" is used to send the request to the correct data centre
- "JSESSIONID" is placed on the visitor's device during the session so the server can identify the visitor
