Consultant Clinical Scientist - Genetic Pathology Employer: Sidra MedicineLocation: Doha, QatarThis is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, skilled, and energetic scientist to work in an environment of international experts providing cutting-edge surgical and medical services within an ultra-modern paediatric tertiary care hospital in Doha, Qatar.Reporting to the Division Chief, the Consultant Clinical Scientist represents, provides, and promotes excellence in the investigation and diagnosis of heritable disorders and is involved in educational activities, research, and diagnostic test development.The primary responsibilities of the Consultant include:Provision of laboratory services;Diagnostic testing and test interpretation;Communication with medical staff;Quality control and assurance;Participation in the management of the Division;Teaching at various levels;Basic and applied research;Sharing responsibility for all aspects of laboratory functions including diagnostic testing, maintaining quality assurance programs, and training of laboratory staff within the Division.The Genetic Pathology Division in the Department of Pathology, Sidra Medicine, has established a WGS pipeline that demands sequence data analysis, classification of variants, and reporting using ACMG criteria.
