We are currently recruiting for a newly qualified or part qualified accountant to join a busy finance team. This is a permanent role and an excellent opportunity to progress your career in a rapidly growing organisation. Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of bank reconciliations, accruals & prepayments and assist with preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Processing supplier invoices and maintenance and reconciliation of supplier balances.
  • Maintenance of general ledgers and posting journals to same.
  • Assist with preparation of KPIs for management and identify and isolate unusual trends and/or material cost increases requiring attention.
  • Assist in monthly operating cost and balance sheet analysis.
  • Support with the delivery of financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Preparation and filing of VAT returns with the Revenue Commissioners/HMRC, ensuring compliance with payroll and other taxes.
  • Review and reconcile intercompany balances every month together with preparation of intercompany recharges.
  • Making payments and putting up payments on the online banking portal to be authorised.
  • Maintenance of stock records.
  • Preparation of audit files and liaising with auditors on queries.
  • Meeting tight deadlines in a busy environment and taking on project work as required.
The Candidate:
  • ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent, or a part qualified accountant pursuing qualification with these bodies. Training contracts available.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in an industry or an accountancy practice environment.
  • High level of numeric accuracy & attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and multi-task.
  • Good time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills to facilitate client service.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Driven and motivated to succeed.
