Key Qualifications:
  • Education: Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant. (IATI/IPASS certification considered).
  • Experience: 1-2 years in a similar accounts role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong written and verbal communication.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
    • Experience with SAP/Oracle or similar systems is advantageous.
    • Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new challenges.
    • Essential traits: flexibility, drive, energy, and self-motivation.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Management: Preparation of weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll in accordance with schedules. This includes calculating gross pay, overtime, deductions, and reconciling any discrepancies.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Process changes such as salary adjustments and pack-pay, and monitor relevant dates.
  • Additional Payments: Calculate and arrange payments for pension, health insurance, etc.
  • Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation for tax, social welfare authorities, and employees, including year-end payroll administration.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Ensure accuracy in bank reconciliations and maintain accounting records.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce finance reports and analysis as required.
  • General Administration: Handle credit control, maintain accounting documents, and perform other finance-related administration tasks.
  • Tax Filings: File PAYE, VAT, VIES & Intrastat returns.
  • Process Improvement: Actively participate in departmental process and improvement initiatives.
  • Day-to-Day Accounting Tasks: Manage account queries, issue and process invoices & credit notes, prepare payment runs, and handle bank administration duties.
  • Financial Forecasts: Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts and routine financial reports, including year-end accounts and monthly reports.
