Job Title: Land and Property Commercial Lead Location: Boora/Newbridge Duration: Permanent Reporting to: Land Use Manager Application Deadline: 30th August 2024 Our Land & Habitats Business currently has a need for a Land and Property Commercial Lead on a permanent basis. This role will be based in the Boora/Newbridge office. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing the commercial value generated from Bord na Móna’s Land and Property assets and the delivery of key strategic commercial projects for the land and habitat business. Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Industrial property disposal strategy to ensure delivery of commercial return on projects and target additional revenue streams for the business.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities for business growth and expansion.
  • Evaluate competitors’ strategies and market positioning to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Responsible for the marketing of disposals and lettings.
  • Manage and optimize the land and property tenant portfolio, including industrial buildings, aggregate extraction, renewable developments, Eco Energy parks, and other land use opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a strategy for the disposal of non-strategic assets and the letting of suitable strategic assets.
  • Create a strategic roadmap for the commercial development of strategic BnM industrial lands.
  • Manage opportunities with third parties for strategic land use across the estate.
  • Support the integrated land use mapping system for land allocation within the BnM estate.
  • Support the wider Land and Habitats team and the Renewables team with respect to land use development.
  • Participate in the preparation of annual and project budgets and resource plans.
  • Manage relevant projects and services time and cost recording system.
  • Procurement Management for the estate process including external contractors.
  • Demonstrate Leadership Standards and Behaviours for Success.
  • Co-operate fully with provisions for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public.
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Attributes:
  • Level 8+ qualification in property, business, engineering, finance or other relevant discipline.
  • 10 years’ post-graduate experience with at least 5 years in a similar role.
  • Experience in property management, property planning, financial analysis, strategy development, project management, change management, and familiarity with planning frameworks.
  • Excellent technical report, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project & PowerPoint.
