This is a senior leadership role that will play a critical part in shaping the future of the organization by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities across diverse markets.About the Role:As the Senior Business Development Officer, you will lead the Business Development function, ensuring alignment with Mergers & Acquisitions and Asset Management activities. You will be instrumental in researching and analysing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and providing strategic insights to the executive team. Your leadership will be key in driving business development initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute business development strategies that align with the company's long-term goals. Oversee market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities.Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including top executives, industry leaders, and regulatory bodies, to drive business growth.Performance Management: Set high performance standards and create a culture of execution, ensuring that the team meets both short and long-term business goals.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to ensure business development efforts are integrated with overall business strategy.Market Insight: Stay ahead of industry trends, understand socio-political challenges, and leverage your insights to make informed business decisions.Resource Planning: Oversee the development of long-term organizational strategies and plans, including setting KPIs and feedback mechanisms to track progress.What We're Looking For:Educational Background: A degree in Engineering (Civil or Power) is required, with an additional degree in Business Administration preferred.Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience, with at least 6-7 years in a senior business development role within the energy or utilities sector.Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the Power and Utilities sector, including current industry trends and technical knowledge.Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, drive results, and manage complex relationships across various levels of an organization.Why Apply?This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to lead the business development strategy of a major player in the energy sector.
