Together, we are shaping the future of finance and empowering businesses to succeed in a rapidly evolving landscape.Key responsibility: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Calculate fixed assets and depreciation, maintaining up-to-date records. Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems Maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements. Post journal entries accurately and timely. Prepare and generate various statistical, financial, and accounting reports. Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Prepare the trial balance of books and reconcile accounts regularly. Lead the year-end meetings, providing clear and concise financial summaries and insights. Ensure compliance with operational, banking, and regulatory requirements, including corporate tax and GST filings, banking covenants, and investor-related filings. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work after-hours or on weekends during the tax season, either on-site or remotely.Qualification: Post-secondary business degree in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA (or equivalent) designation is not requested A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting work experience. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a continuous improvement mindset. Decent interpersonal and communication skills in English. Bilingual in French, Arabic, Mandarin or another language as an asset. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines ensuring client satisfaction and engagement. Authentic team player who is accountable and responsible.
