Tourism Promotions and Marketing Specialist

Responsibilities

1. Assist in the development of marketing plans, strategies and budgets.
2. Plan, coordinate and execute events, trade shows, business meetings, familiarization trips and other tourism-related events.
3. Work closely/coordinate with tourism industry players, production companies, government-related agencies and vendors for projects/events/promo materials.
4. Maintain a high level of communication among attractions, hotels and other tourism industry representatives.
5. Monitor marketing budgets, and prepare timely, accurate reports and accounting documents.
6. Assist in preparing materials, reports and statistics for meetings.
7. Assist in tourist maps checking and provide comprehensive information to tourists.
8. Any additional duties, tasks and assignments given by the Company as and when necessary.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, Tourism or Public Relations.
2. Minimum 5 years working experience in the tourism-related industry.
3. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Good command in written and verbal English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is a must.
5. Highly meticulous and detail-oriented.
6. Good time and people management, a team player and positive working attitude.
7. Able to work under pressure and meet timelines given.
8. Technologically savvy, dynamic and creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
