Senior Footwear Designer

Title - Footwear Tool Engineer Type - Contract Location - Remote Working hours - 8 PM - 5 AM IST Key Responsibilities:

• Tooling Design and Development: Utilize Rhino 3D software to design and develop tooling systems, including molds, dies, and other essential tools for footwear manufacturing. Ensure that designs meet performance, durability, and precision requirements.
• Prototyping and Testing: Manage the prototyping process for new tooling designs. Conduct comprehensive testing and evaluations to validate tooling performance and identify potential improvements.
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Work in tandem with product designers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to tackle tooling challenges and provide technical support throughout the production process.
• Continuous Improvement: Promote and implement best practices for tooling design and manufacturing. Evaluate and recommend enhancements to existing tooling systems to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including tooling specifications, maintenance guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Supplier Management: Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure tooling components and manage relationships to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all tooling processes meet company and industry quality standards. Perform regular inspections and audits to uphold high-quality production.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in tooling or manufacturing engineering are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tooling engineering, with a focus on footwear or a related manufacturing industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Rhino 3D software and other relevant engineering tools. Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes used in footwear production.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving tooling issues.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision and attention to detail in tooling design and development. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
