Job Description

Develop corrosion management strategies and programs for plant equipment and infrastructure. Conduct corrosion monitoring and assessment activities to identify and mitigate corrosion risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrosion prevention and control measures. Review and update corrosion control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards. Perform corrosion failure analysis and develop appropriate remedial actions. Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance and engineering teams regarding corrosion-related issues. Stay updated on the latest corrosion prevention technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years of experience working as an engineer in a chemical plant or similar related job.
  3. Strong knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, prevention strategies, and mitigation techniques.
  4. Experience with corrosion monitoring and assessment techniques.
  5. Familiarity with process safety, damage mechanisms, Integrity Operating Window (IOW), Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) program, corrosion study review, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), HAZOP study, and Management of Change (MOC).
  6. Experience in implementing and overseeing corrosion management strategies to ensure the integrity and reliability of process plant assets.
  7. This role requires technical expertise in corrosion science and practical knowledge in managing Integrity Operating Windows (IOWs).
  8. Training and certification in API 571 Corrosion and Material Certification, API 580 Risk Based Inspection, API 581 Risk Based Inspection Methodology.
