The Country Operational Manager is responsible for managing and monitoring team performance related to availability and inventory levels alongside purchasing activities of numerous parts across a variety of product types (MRO).

On-Site Team Manager

  • Monitor team performance to establish business indicators.
  • Remove/mitigate roadblocks for operational success.
  • Support the team by directing, giving feedback, and making suggestions.
  • Provide team training and certification, as well as ensure employees’ access to systems.
  • Responsible for employee empowerment and recognition.
  • Responsible for QM review and implementation on-site.
  • Responsible for implementing operational strategies and achieving operational goals.

Operational Support

  • Responsible for the success of ongoing operations by monitoring and verifying that every step of the supply chain is executed efficiently to ensure stock availability.
  • Responsible for the successful implementation of the various processes facing the customer, supplier, warehouse, and transportation.
  • Drive to resolution of all operational/commercial problems related to the site.
  • First point of escalation of all ongoing site operational level issues.
  • Make decisions with the awareness of the impact on the overall success and profitability of the organization.
  • Communicate up, down, across the organization, with customers, suppliers, warehouse, transportation, and all other relevant stakeholders.
  • Will act as backup for missing resources or skills.
  • Owns financial reconciliation of customer records for payment.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to company policy and implement the agreed methodology on the operational level.

  • Technical Knowledge: an understanding of the definitions and formulas of the key inventory metrics, experience with both inventory management and high volume purchasing or multiple parts (must).
  • Leadership and coaching skills.
  • Project management and leading initiatives to closure.
  • Travel between the sites in Malaysia and Singapore is required for this role.

Education

Bachelor’s degree is required, or approximately 5-7 years of related experience in management, supply chain, logistics management, order fulfillment, and planning.

Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in operational management and process optimization.
  • 5-7 years of experience in people management.
  • Inventory, logistics, and supply chain management.
  • People management.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office level (Excel, Word, PPT).
  • Customer service.
