This role is essential to successfully executing projects in support of company franchises and modalities, to include coordinating a matrixed team of subject matter experts from various functional areas. The Sr. PM will assist with the creation, maintenance, and oversight of project schedules, will ensure adherence to project scope and will serve as the primary point of contact to clients for both the business and technical aspects of their projects. It is the Sr. PM's role to integrate contracted scope into the project plan and for communicating this information to all members of the cross-functional team. Detailed responsibilities are listed below.Position Responsibilities:Plans, executes, and coordinates all aspects of the project to maintain schedule, budget, scope, and quality in accordance with project requirementsEnsures the dissemination of approved work scope to team members, working with operations leads and capacity planning to assign and schedule tasks related to the introduction of new projects within the site(s)Oversees all aspects of assigned projects, sets deadlines, and assigns responsibilitiesManages the project budget to include planning and cost/resource implications of the approved work scopeResponsible for reviewing, approving, and tracking project expenditures through review of purchase requisitions and invoicesAssists with development of project integrated master schedulesProvides project management leadership to a cross-functional Product Development Team (PDT) required to successfully execute the project scope of work (ex. PD, Manufacturing, QA, QC, RA) and helps to define the mission, vision, and direction for the PDT.Manages client and other project stakeholder relationships, communications, requirements and expectations, and interfaces directly with the clientAnticipates and proactively manages changes in project scopeCreates and maintains the project records and historical files in the Product History FolderMonitors and manages project performance (through Earned Value or other methods)Assists with writing reports and drafting SOPs (as necessary)Assists with coordination and tracking of issue resolutionEnsures excellent communications within the team, to site leadership, to any other relevant stakeholders and to the clientServes as primary point of contact with the client to include coverage of both technical and business-related discussionsPrepares and conducts program reviews and presentations of technical information with the department, across functional areas, clients, and senior managementCoordinates the development of subcontractor Statements of Objectives and Statements of WorkCoordinates and manages activities being conducted by subcontractorsWorks independently, preparing regular project updates for the site leadership team to review and monitor performance based on metrics, objectives, and schedulesCreates meeting materials such as agendas, slides, and minutes for team meetingsMaintains information on project lessons learned and best practices and ensures dissemination within the PMO and applicable functional leadersAssists with new business proposal preparation, as requiredInteracts closely with Technical and Commercial Franchise Leads to support sales and business developmentAssistance with identification of project risks and the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies/solutions as appropriateMentors the professional development and coordinates the work of subordinate PMs and Project Coordinators, as appropriateOther duties as assigned All employees are expected to adhere to the Quality Management System established in the Quality Manual, Quality Policy, Standard Operating Procedures, Current Good Manufacturing Practices, and any other applicable regulations and standards to the duties within their role.Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated proficiency in MS Project and/or SmartsheetStrong leadership and management skills requiredAbility to manage large, complex projects and/or multiple projects across multiple sitesExcellent communication, organization, planning and presentation skillsDemonstrated experience with timeline developmentExperience with project management concepts, practices, and proceduresPreferred Requirements:Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, project management, or equivalent work experienceMinimum 6 years of combined technical and project management experience in biotech / biopharmaceutical manufacturing with a Bachelor's degree or minimum 3 years of experience with a Master's degreeCDMO experienceProject Management Professional (PMP) CertificationPhysical Requirements: This job requires the employee to perform the following physical activities: Use of fingersWalking HearingTalkingThis job requires exposure to the following:Laboratories, production rooms, waste holding areas, or other facilities where infectious agents are or may be handled or stored.This job requires the employee to perform the following type of physical work:Sedentary work. Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $110,000.00 - $162,500.00 per year. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
