Senior Solution Architect - Physical Security Systems

Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia At Thales, we are actively supporting our customers in the development and provision of a ‘smart city’ state-of-the-art Security Solution. The projects associated with the implementation of security and safety systems are highly innovative, international, and multi-industry in nature, requiring in-depth technical knowledge of the solutions and components as well as a real mastery of the systems aspect needed to successfully complete the projects. Thales is actively recruiting for a Senior Solution Architect to support our customer. This is a critical role within the development, focusing on the whole security solution, understanding customer requirements, developing solutions that align with these requirements, managing the whole solution including supplier management, and ensuring customer satisfaction. We are looking for a highly experienced individual who has delivered security solutions on high-value projects and can manage all aspects of the Physical Security solution, from the customer requirements through to the architecture, suppliers, and ensuring delivery and integration of the entirety of the security solution. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting customers in their technical choices and promoting Thales solutions (SDP, etc.)
Describing and structuring the architectures of future security systems in coordination with project teams and engineering teams.
Acting as Design Authority.
Coordinating internal and external partners to achieve a coherent vision and architecture.
Participating in the costing of technical solutions and ensuring their competitiveness.
Overseeing the choice of technical solutions in a context of innovation that can extend into the next fifteen to thirty years.
Communicating solutions in support of PRS strategy, sales management, and domain management.
Participating and guiding technical policy.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
15 years of experience on various Systems Engineering life cycle activities.
5 years of experience working in different Technical Management positions.
Demonstrable experience creating architecture of a whole solution based on customer requirements within Physical Security Systems.
PREFERRED SKILLS
A structured approach to systems architectures and associated modelling tools.
Wide-ranging technical skills in the fields of information systems, sensors, end-effectors, and network, radio, and operator-managed services infrastructure.
A real understanding of the digital technologies deployed in the Cloud.
The ability to analyze operational needs and employment scenarios and to extract technical requirements from them.
The ability to manage the technical contributors as well as the various GBUs, assembly, and integration partners.
An innovative vision and a 15-year solution-building perspective, while maintaining a pragmatic and iterative approach to system delivery throughout the period.
A strong capacity for conviction that will support and lend credibility to Thales' strategic statements in this field.

This includes defining the requirements, principles and models that guide technology decisions for the enterprise.<br> <br>&bull; Lead the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and recommends solutions for improvement. In addition, lead the analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise as well as on the enterprise technology architecture.<br> <br>&bull; Coach, mentor and collaborate with technical subject matter experts and EA peers to develop Communications architecture that enables and drives new business capabilities and operating models.<br> <br>&bull; Drives digital innovation by leveraging innovative technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core technology base and IT estate.<br> <br>&bull; Defines high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the future and current state, typically in sync with the IT budgeting or other capital planning processes.<br> <br>&bull; Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models.<br> <br>&bull; Guide technology investment decisions based on analysis and evaluation to drive targeted business outcomes while ensuring nonfunctional requirements are met.<br> <br>&bull; Help the enterprise architect define metrics to measure and demonstrate enterprise technology value.<br> <br>&bull; Assist with designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise technology architecture compliance of projects and products.<br> <br>&bull; Oversee and facilitates the research, evaluation, and selection of technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations.<br> <br>&bull; Identify the organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures and culture) and financial impact of the enterprise Communications architecture.<br> <br>&bull; Understand, advocate and augment the business and IT strategies - and, more specifically, EA development and service delivery. Is prepared to "sell" the EA process (overall, not just for enterprise Communications architecture), its outcome and ongoing results, and to lead the communication or marketing activities needed to ensure enterprise success and use.<br> <br>&bull; Oversees, or consults on, technology implementation and modification activities (for example, projects and products), particularly for new or shared infrastructure solutions.<br> <br>&bull; Consults on application or infrastructure development projects to harmonize systems or infrastructure with the enterprise Communications architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify the Communications architecture to accommodate immediate or future project needs.<br> <br>&bull; Creates and delivers working, production-ready IT services that can be easily leveraged by agile teams.<br> <br>&bull; Works closely with the product managers, product owners and EA peers (e.g., enterprise, business, information, security and solutions architects) to enable infrastructure agility, scalability and resilience to support required product needs throughout product life cycles.<br> <br>&bull; Collaborates with business constituents, other EA team members, project teams and staff in various IT functional areas as needed to fulfill the responsibilities described above.<br> <br>&bull; Documents necessary enterprise Communications architecture design and analysis work, possibly including project postmortem documentation and metric collection.<br><br><b>Minimum Requirements</b><br><br>A. Master's or Bachelor's Degree in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Information Systems (CIS), Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration.<br> B. At least 10 years industrial work experience in complex Digital & IT environment such as digital transformation, systems analysis, programming, computing hardware, software implementation, and mission critical facilities; Knowledge of industry standard Enterprise Architecture (EA) Frameworks and tools. Six or more years of business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis or experience as an enterprise architecture consultant for the communications domain.<br> C. Excellent spoken and written English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable. Ability to compose and edit concise, well organized reports and presentations for various levels of management is also essential. The Digital & IT Architect must also often interface with senior Management of various companies, including CIO's and CEO's.  He must therefore be highly articulate in English (and preferably in Arabic) and be able to discuss Digital & IT Architecture and technology directions appropriately.<br> D. Saudi Aramco is seeking a Senior Life Cycle Assessment Scientist to join a newly created function within the Research & Development Center (R&DC).<br />
Saudi Aramco&#39;s R&DC is advancing multiple low-carbon energy & technology solutions in support of the Company&#39;s climate change and energy transition framework. The newly created Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) team will be responsible for developing detailed LCA models, conducting climate change impact assessments of energy & technology solutions, and drawing critical insights to inform Corporate decisions.<br />
The Senior Life Cycle Assessment Scientist&#39;s primary role includes: (a) conducting due diligences as input into technology development cycles and to inform the Corporate decarbonization strategy; (b) benchmarking of in-house technologies against existing solutions and/or best available alternatives; and (c) analyzing the implications of LCA-based regulations on emerging low-carbon energy & technology solutions.<br />

<b>Key Responsibilities</b><br />
<br />
Develop comprehensive CO2/energy life cycle assessment (LCA) models for low-carbon energy, mobility, and petrochemical pathways, including hydrogen-based fuels, CO2-to-fuels/chemicals, advanced CO2 capture technologies, and novel industrial processes.<br />
Utilize state-of-the-art modeling techniques, tools and simulation software to support CO2-impact assessments of energy-technology solutions independently or as part of a broader techno-economic assessment.<br />
Develop new methodologies and/or adapt emerging techniques from the literature into own assessment methods in order to advance the frontiers of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) thinking within the Company.<br />
Maintain good understanding of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies adopted in key regulations worldwide (e.g., EU&#39;s Renewable Energy Directives (RED)).<br />
Lead collaborative research with universities and research institutions on various energy-technology pathways.<br />
Publish peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals.<br />
Maintain and expand working knowledge of applicable software for programming (Matlab, Python, VB Excel, R), data analysis, and visualization (Power BI, Tableau).<br />
Provide and manage a safe, accident-free office environment; follow all company safety rules in performing job duties.<br />
Perform other miscellaneous related duties as requested.<br />
<br />
<b>Minimum Requirements</b><br />
<br />
PhD Degree in Science/Engineering/Physics/Mathematics Discipline as appropriate for the area of expertise. Master&#39;s degree with proven LCA expertise will also be considered.<br />
At least seven years (7) experience in a substantive industrial, technological or research area relevant to life cycle assessment (LCA).<br />
Expertise in one or more Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tools (e.g., GREET, GaBi, openLCA, SimaPro, etc.)<br />
Knowledge of techno-economic assessment techniques for energy-technology solutions.<br />
General knowledge of environmental policy regulations in major markets (e.g., Europe, USA, China, India) and other regions worldwide would be viewed favorably.<br />
Comfortable working independently and as part of a project team.<br />
Strong interpersonal skills and the capability to work effectively in multicultural environments across multiple divisions and time zones.<br />
Proven track records in Life Cycle Assessment.<br />
Efficient communication skills in oral and written form, both technically and at high-level.<br />
Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing environments.<br />

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with an experience in various refineries process technologies, such as Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU), Sour Water Stripper (SWS), Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC), Hydrocracking, Hydrotreating, CCR, and others, to join Operation Engineering Solutions Department (OESD).<br />

OESD under the Global Manufacturing provides specialized and timely operations and process engineering support to all process technologies operated on both wholly-owned and affiliates&#39; refining and chemicals operating facilities, collectively known as Saudi Aramco Global Manufacturing.<br />
<br />
The primary role is to provide process engineering and operations expertise to monitor, optimize, and drive performance improvement programs for all refineries process technologies, including remote and field technical advisory support, benchmarking, and technology knowledge management and exchange. Drive the performance improvement programs which enhance process safety, optimize manufacturing cost, and increase plant reliability.<br />

<b>Key Responsibilities</b><br />

You are expected to be able to perform the following:<br />

Review and monitor the performances of existing refineries process technologies KPIs representing the process plant&#39;s operability, profitability, reliability, and process safety.<br />
Issue quarterly performance benchmarking reports highlighting the KPIs, analysis, and improvement recommendations for each process technology. Monitor and support implementation of the recommendations<br />
Conduct best practices exchange workshops among Global Manufacturing facilities having similar or different process technologies.<br />
Issue quarterly technical best practices bulletin to operating facilities.<br />
Provide technical advisory support to facilities on matters concerning the operation of various process technologies including process design & troubleshooting, start-up and shutdown activities, capacity test runs, and technology pilot testing.<br />
Propose cost optimization or process improvement initiatives focusing on &#39;low-hanging fruits&#39; with minimal capital investment required, through operational changes or design modification.<br />
Conduct internal assessments on process engineering standards using Saudi Aramco engineering standard references. Highlight deviations or better practices applied by affiliates for endorsement to facility or Central Engineering. Support the implementation of relevant engineering standards to process technologies across Global Manufacturing<br />
Act as overall coordinator for cascading and driving Global Manufacturing and Corporate programs to the facilities for execution and effective monitoring.<br />
Participate in Business Plan development and coordinate with stakeholders for any capital investments on assigned process units and support techno-economic evaluations.<br />
<br />
Recommend and coordinate proven technology deployments in various process units in collaboration with relevant stakeholders<br />
Support facilitation of knowledge exchange workshops with process technology licensors and facilities.<br />
Participate as subject matter experts on external benchmarking with 3rd party entities<br />
Ensure continuous learning on process engineering and technology specialist skills. Provide in-house technical trainings to Global Manufacturing facilities when needed.<br />
Participate in hazard operability (HAZOP) and safety integrity level (SIL) studies.<br />
Participate in incident investigation activities<br />
Act as overall coordinator on any data related to process technologies required by Global Manufacturing Affiliate Affairs<br />
<br />
<b>Minimum Requirements</b><br />
<br />
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering from a recognized and approved program.<br />
<br />
You will have a minimum of seventeen years of total refinery or gas plants process units experience (process engineering and operations) with at least 10 years&#39; experience in handling various process technologies such as SRU, SWS, FCC, Hydrocracking, Hydrotreating, CCR and others.</p>

Manage the concept to delivery of key commissions and events for the successful delivery of the Program Portfolio&#39;s mandate. Projects may include major visual arts installations, music and spoken word festivals, national holiday celebrations, site-specific theatre and other cross-genre commissions. The Senior Producer will support the Creative Director in identifying, planning, scoping and scheduling the annual portfolio mandated programs. The Senior Producer will liaise internally within King Abdulaziz Center&#39;s components to ensure efficient communication, policy compliance and implementation. The position will manage relationships with contractors, artists and organizations across a wide range of initiatives.<br />

<b>Key Responsibilities</b><br />

Lead on assigned projects including overall project planning and management from pre-production to delivery<br />
Ensure smooth co-ordination of logistics, budgets and scheduling across departments and partners<br />
Lead, co-ordinate and attend internal project meetings and external meetings<br />
Work closely with external contractors and internal teams and stakeholders<br />
Manage the work of producers and other team members, temporary staff and freelancers assigned to projects.<br />
Manage relationships with contractors, artists and organizations across a wide range of initiatives<br />
Negotiate artists&#39; and organizations&#39; deals and contracts and issue contracts in a timely manner<br />
Draw up and manage whole project budgets and schedules<br />

Manage the development of plans, schedules, marketing and communications for the delivery of the portfolio program.<br />
Manage the annual portfolio program in terms of scoping, administrating, scheduling, programming and budget control and ensure successful implementation and operation.<br />
Liaise internally with all Center components, to help execute the requirements of the program.<br />
Liaise with international Creative Arts community for booking, coordinating visits, workshops and shows.<br />
Establish, and maintain positive working relationships with all user groups.<br />

<b>Minimum Requirements</b><br />

Bachelor Degree in the Cultural and Creative Arts or related field.<br />

A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the delivery of professional cultural programs in the public arts sector.<br />

Experience in cultural administration, programming and production.<br />
<br />
Proven track record of successfully producing all aspects of cultural festival productions including performance, the visual arts, and musical productions.<br />
<br />
Knowledge of the international Cultural and Creative Arts industry including centers, performing arts houses, festivals, organizations, and educational institutions.<br />
<br />
Connected to the Cultural and Creative Arts industry in its creative and production branches.<br />
<br />
Proven record of accomplishment in managing the production of cultural and creative product.<br />

<b>Job Purpose</b><br />
<br />
We are seeking a Sr. Planning & Performance Management (P&PM) to<b> </b>join the S&SP Planning & Performance Management Division of Products & Customers Planning & Performance Management Dept.<br />
<br />
The Planning & Performance Management Division is responsible for the review, analysis and consolidation of reports such as Business Plan, Accountability, Quarterly Business Reviews and other ad-hoc reports required by management. These reports are being prepared in the departments&#39; level under Sales & Supply Planning organization and reviewed and consolidated by Planning & Performance Management Division to ensure its completeness and relevance in order to satisfy the requirements of higher management. The Planning & Performance Management Division also reviews and process several subsidiary invoices from out-of-kingdom offices.<br />
<br />
The primary role of Sr. Planning & Performance Management is to perform all planning & performance management functions and interacts with personnel within Saudi Aramco P&PM organizations in the performance of his/her duties.<br />
<br />
<b>Responsibilities</b><br />
<br />
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following:</p>

<ul>
	<li>Plan and execute planning and performance management analytical activities under the general supervision of higher-level P&PM Staff and supervisor of his/her organization.</li>
	<li>Work with different level of staffs in the collection, analysis and consolidation of data required for business plan, accountability reports, quarterly business reviews, management information system (MIS) and other adhoc reports needed by higher management.</li>
	<li>Conducts special studies with an aim to enhance the development of performance initiatives and business cases, benchmarking, risk management, performance measurements, processes and workflow.</li>
	<li>Provide supervision, coordination and/or facilitation in the execution of regular and special tasks by other P&PM personnel, as well as mentorship on P&PM analytical practice.</li>
</ul>

<b>Education & Experience Requirements</b><br />
<br />
The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor&#39;s Degree in Business (Accountancy or Finance), or a related discipline. Possession of relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) is required.<br />
<br />
Nine (9) years of relevant experience in planning & performance management is required. The candidate must have the proven ability to handle complex, problems in a rigorous, analytical fashion. Previous work experience in oil & gas industry must have been sufficiently broad to allow the candidate to be effective as a team player of planning & performance management group.<br />
<br />
The candidate must have excellent command of oral and written English, with demonstrated capability of producing top quality written reports and presentations to management. He/She must have excellent knowledge of using Microsoft Application (Word, Excel & Powerpoint).<br />
