Head of Engineering - Technology (Hybrid)

Engineering - Software (Information & Communication Technology) Full time Responsibilities:

• Management-level application development lead to design, engineer and implement technology platforms that are customised to our business needs in connection with Blockchains and Digital assets.
• Analyse our blockchain and digital asset needs; and launch and maintain technology platforms to enable issuance and trading of digital assets.
• Fast-paced technology lead with strong development practice to oversee geographically-dispersed engineering team, assure quality deliverables and set high development standards.
• Work with senior management to set technology vision and drive technical development.
• Manage and document the full cycle from ideation to design of user interfaces for each product stream craft visual product roadmap that drives executive decision making.
• Keep abreast of the latest technology trends and application areas. Collaborate with other teams to design relevant business applications and promote our technical capabilities.

Requirements:

• Hold a Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science, Maths, Data Science or Engineering .
• At least 5 to 10 years working experience in applications development or engineering with the recent few years exposed to Blockchain, Cryptocurrency or Digital Assets.
• Solid understanding of different designs and architectural patterns.
• Experienced in developing with Golang, React native, VueJS and/or PostGres SQL. Knowledge of Rust will be good to have.
• In-depth knowledge of code versioning tools, for instance, Git.
• Extensive experience in infrastructure design and platform development.
• Knowledge or experience of FIX protocol used in Tradfi industry.
• Accustomed to dynamic startup environment with a high level of commitment and ownership.
• Good management and organisational skills to take up leadership role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

• Directly reporting to Chief Technology Officer or Chief Executive Officer.
• Preference given to expertise in Blockchain technologies or Digital Assets economy; or previous experience in FinTech, Exchange or Trading industry.
