About us We are looking for a Computational Materials Scientist with focus on Glass and Glass Ceramics to join our Research & Development Team at our headquarters in Mainz. Your Contribution
- Integration of materials simulation and materials informatics approaches with R&D processes
- In-depth analysis of material-process-property relations to meet future product requirements
- Translation of insights into industrial practice
- Responsibility for ambitious development projects
- Networking with scientific community and technology providers; monitoring the state of the art
- Excellent PhD in physics, chemistry or materials science
- Proficiency in one major programming language (Python, C++, C, Fortran, etc.)
- Experience in glass and glass ceramics, industrial development, machine-learned interatomic potentials and/or data engineering is a plus
- Fluent business English (written and spoken), willingness to learn German
- Willingness to travel abroad
