Job Description:

1. Interpret Scan Results: They look at the results from tools like Tenable that scan for security weaknesses. They then pass these findings to the IT and product teams who will fix them.
2. Address Infrastructure Vulnerabilities: They focus on fixing security issues in the company’s infrastructure (like servers and networks). They might also deal with vulnerabilities in container technologies.
3. Provide Remediation Assistance: They help the teams responsible for fixing issues by giving detailed instructions on how to apply patches and find workarounds.
4. Track Remediation Progress: They keep an eye on how well the teams are doing in fixing the vulnerabilities, ensuring everything is resolved on time.
5. Facilitate Extension Requests: If teams need more time to fix issues, the vulnerability manager helps arrange for deadline extensions.
6. Collaborate with Teams: They work closely with different teams to ensure everyone is on the same page and communication is smooth.
7. Use JIRA for Management: They use JIRA, a project management tool, to create tickets, track progress, and manage the remediation activities.
