Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary If you are a MANUFACTURING ENGINEER professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Nilai, Negeri Sembilan location; you will ensure smooth Assembly operations by providing technical support to operations team including ME, QA, machining and welding functions. Join our growing team! In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

1. To support company goals, policies and objectives.
2. Provide engineering support for manufacturing in the areas of assembly, customer service, planning, IPM and quality control.
3. Work closely in a team to interpret corporate documentation and other reference materials to determine manufacturing requirements and processing procedures on new or revised part numbers.
4. Build product structures (BOM) and routing in Oracle.
5. Ensure engineering drawings are updated/revised timely.
6. Resolve/troubleshoot manufacturing/assembly problems encountered in the shop floor.
7. Provide engineering support for new product introduction including equipment set up and training to the assembler.
8. Develop the necessary work procedures and provide or coordinate the training for the operators and supervisors.
9. Attend CSN call with QA and customer when required.
10. Support safety KPI within department and plant level.
11. Work in a team environment to meet production and project related goals and cost objectives.

For This Role, You Will Need

1. Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a similar manufacturing environment with ability to evaluate and execute the requirements on manufacturing documentation and procedure development.
2. Exhibit drafting application skills and techniques.
3. Knowledge of material characteristics and ability to interpret manufacturing and engineering source documents.
4. Experience in a mechanical assembly manufacturing environment.
5. Requires reaching with hands and arms most of the time.
6. Knowledge of Test & Automation will be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

1. Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical/Electronic or Industrial Engineering.
2. Strong interpersonal skills and able to relate well with all levels of staff.
3. Knowledge of material characteristics and ability to interpret manufacturing and engineering source documents.
