Role The role of the Facilities Engineer for the terminal which the incumbent is assigned to and the main representative of the Engineering Organization of the Terminal to:
- Provide Engineering assurance, engineering support and input for Projects, Maintenance, and engineering.
- Deliver and support Global Trading &Supply programs.
- Support the Lead Facilities Engineer in assuring compliance to critical process requirements supporting Asset Integrity
- To provide cost effective, fit-for-purpose engineering standards, and practices.
- Support improvements in maintenance practice through RCA, Bad Actors and the Maintenance Contracting strategies review.
- Lead or participate in Failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
- Provide Engineering for capex projects to ensure), budget, schedule and construction safety requirements are met
- Ensure all Construction HSSE targets are met for the execution of engineering works and to seek continuous improvement and professionalization of the contractor framework.
- Vertical Storage Tanks and pipelines, Valves
- Jetty/Wharves, Mooring systems
- Rotating Equipment (product pumps, additive pumps, PD mechanical meters)
- Instrumentation (Acculoads, ALG, IHLAs, Pressure Switches, ESDs)
- Fire Fighting Systems (Pumps, hydrant lines, jockey pumps, foam systems)
- Safeguarding (Thermal and Pressure relief valves, Pressure-Vacuum Valves, Emergency venting systems
- Engineering graduate with 5+ years of diversified engineering experience preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Material or Reliability field.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas, Construction, Manufacturing industries is advantageous.
- Awareness for basic operations of Oil and Gas Assets.
- Good exposure and working knowledge in HSSE, Process Safety, Asset integrity and maintenance of assets in bulk oil terminals.
- Good understanding of Basic Terminal Engineering and Asset Management system.
- Experience with tank maintenance and inspections would be an advantage.
- Able to demonstrate risk-based principles in prioritizing integrity and maintenance works.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards/codes (API, ASME, ANSI, EEMUA, BS, NFPA etc.) and statutory requirements.
- Working knowledge of NDT inspections & preventive and predictive maintenance techniques
- API certification will be an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong stakeholder management and project delivery skills is a must.
