Senior Data Analyst SureSkills is an edtech services company that specializes in the creation of engaging and impactful e-learning experiences that empower learners and drives organizational growth. SureSkills are the market leaders in the creation of technical education programmes. We work with companies like Google, AWS, Microsoft, VMware, Meta and Coursera to create their education programmes. Most programmes that we develop include hand-on labs to support the learner in their journey towards mastery of their new subjects.

- Analyze complex financial datasets to identify trends, insights, and patterns that support business decisions.
- Develop, maintain, and improve financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Conduct thorough data validation and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data outputs.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives, to understand their analytical needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Present data-driven findings in a clear, concise, and impactful manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key business units to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide data-driven recommendations that support business strategy and drive financial performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and IT, to ensure data solutions align with business objectives.
- Lead initiatives to improve data quality, governance, and reporting processes.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI) to extract and analyze data.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in data analysis and financial modeling.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with a strong focus on financial data.
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a Big 4 firm or a similar consulting setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, and advanced Excel.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent - experience working with tools such as Looker, LookML and BigQuery will be highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of financial data with possessing the ability to make business critical recommendations based on that data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing time and priorities effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
