Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled MES Support Specialist with expertise in the Certified Ignition Tool to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the support, maintenance, and optimization of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and related technologies. This role requires a deep understanding of MES processes, the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, and proficiency in the Ignition tool. Key Responsibilities: MES System Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for MES systems.
- Monitor MES system performance and ensure uptime and reliability.
- Respond to and resolve MES-related incidents and service requests.
- Work closely with production teams to understand and address their MES needs.
- Utilize the Certified Ignition Tool for system configuration, maintenance, and support.
- Develop and maintain Ignition projects and applications.
- Integrate Ignition with other systems (SAP ERP) and databases as required.
- Provide training and support to users on Ignition features and functionalities.
- Perform regular system audits and health checks.
- Implement system upgrades, patches, and improvements.
- Optimize MES workflows and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure data integrity and security within the MES environment.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, production, and engineering.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Provide user training and support to ensure effective use of MES and Ignition systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in MES support or a related role.
- Certification in Ignition by Inductive Automation is required.
- Strong knowledge of MES systems and processes.
- Proficiency in the Ignition tool, including scripting, project development, and system integration.
- Experience with databases (e.g., SQL, Postgres SQL) and understanding of network concepts.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and industrial automation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Experience with other MES software and tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in manufacturing and automation.
- Knowledge in PLC & SCADA systems
- Project management experience or certification.
- The role involves working in both office and production floor environments.
