Ngā kawenga |About the role Case Managers provide specialist, end to end case management with prisoners including initial assessment, identification of prisoner needs, case planning and preparing prisoners for release. Using a range of services and techniques, they work with external agencies and the prisoners' Whānau to support prisoners as they rehabilitate. With a natural style to work collaboratively and top notch relationship management skills you will be someone who recognises the importance of the work Ara Poutama does and as we enter into a new and exciting era with Hokai Rangi, bring new ways of thinking to what is already a complex, dynamic and fast paced environment. This role is located at Northland Corrections Facility which is located near Ngawha in the upper North Island. We are looking for candidates with:- Knowledge and experience working with Māori and Pacific Peoples and their whanau and communities.
- Rehabilitation and reintegration related disciplines and practices.
- Effective relationship management and communication skills.
- The ability to motivate and support prisoners to make positive changes.
- Experience and knowledge in Māori Language and cultural protocols and processes within Māori Communities, and of Māori Community structures and dynamics.
- Full, clean NZ Drivers Licence.
