The Position

Join Our AP (Accounts Payable) Support Internship at Roche What We Do: At Roche, our Accounts Payable team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, supporting our global operations with precision and efficiency. As an AP Support Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in handling AP documents, reconciling accounts, and contributing to month-end activities. Job Responsibilities:
  1. Receive, sort, verify, and barcode AP documents for processing.
  2. Validate and process various invoices including PO-based, non-PO invoices, prepayments, etc.
  3. Review supplier open items and execute payments accurately.
  4. Prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.
  5. Investigate and rectify unsuccessful payments promptly.
  6. Assist in month-end closing activities as per schedule.
  7. Generate monthly, quarterly, or yearly operational reports.
  8. Reconcile AP balance sheet accounts and clear aged items.
  9. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve open items.
  10. Handle internal and external queries related to AP processes.
  11. Manage vendor relationships and foster effective partnerships.
  12. Participate in compliance audits and respond to audit queries.
  13. Support cross-functional teams and participate in project implementations.
  14. Assist in system integration and testing as required.
  15. Initiate and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Key Accountabilities:
  1. Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier and intercompany invoices within SLAs.
  2. Ensure on-time payment of supplier invoices as per agreed terms.
  3. Maintain updated documentation and comply with Internal Control Financial Reporting (ICFR), group policies, local statutory requirements, and service timelines.
  4. Execute AP month-end closing activities accurately and on schedule.
  5. Respond to internal and external queries within SLAs.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
  1. Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree in Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce or equivalent.
  2. Good communication skills with proficiency in English.
  3. Preferable knowledge of SAP or other ERP accounting systems and MS Office tools.
  4. No prior work experience required.
  5. Willingness to commit to a minimum of six (6) months internship duration.
