Position Overview

We have a highly engaged Board of Directors, and our next President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead the Senior Leadership Team, providing inspirational leadership to effectively navigate the rapidly evolving health care landscape and position the organization to thrive. The CEO has responsibility for the overall operations and financial management of the organization and ensures the highest quality of care is delivered to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

As CEO, you will build upon the successful initiatives that have earned the Hospital its reputation as an innovative community health care leader and a partner of choice. You will work to implement OVH's new Strategic Plan, guided by the Mission and Vision. You will continue to foster the organization's 'honoured to care culture' and have a solid understanding of the diversity of staff, patients, and the broader community. As a highly visible champion for OVH, you bring proven skills that demonstrate your ability to collaborate and build positive relationships with the Ministry of Health, Ontario Health, and other partners and stakeholders. You will connect with patient and family groups and prioritize patient experience as a key facet of quality.

Qualifications

You have progressive senior leadership experience, ideally in health care, and a dossier of demonstrated achievements accompanied by an impeccable reputation. You bring proven abilities to lead in a growth organization and to implement a strategic plan. A collaborative and dynamic leader, you will also demonstrate an unwavering commitment to advance equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging across staff and patient interactions. Academic credentials consistent with industry practice at the CEO level (i.e. Masters level, or equivalent) are required.
