Director, Prescription Dermatology Business Unit

Location: Thornhill, Ontario

Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, Canada, the Prescription (Rx) Dermatology Business Unit Director (BUD) is responsible for the overall performance, strategic direction and growth of Galderma's Therapeutic Dermatology portfolio in Canada. The BUD has P&L accountability, and will drive innovation in the design and implementation of impactful strategies and innovative go-to-market models for the brands within the Rx portfolio. The BUD will be accountable for the successful execution of critical new launches for Galderma, as well as overseeing the ongoing management of our established brands as well as our authorized generic portfolio and partners.

This seasoned leader is responsible for fostering a winning and growth mindset, innovation, collaboration, and an ambitious patient/customer-centric culture across the Rx team and their cross-functional and global partners. Their contributions as part of the Canadian Leadership Team (CLT) will ensure success in enterprise-level performance and a strong culture where employees feel engaged, empowered, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

The Rx BUD leads a portfolio of brands in the acne, rosacea and actinic keratosis categories. They are also preparing the team and market for a pivotal launch to support patients living with atopic dermatitis and prurigo nodularis.

The BUD plays a critical role as a CLT member in Galderma Canada, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and competitiveness with the ambition to win for patients, consumers, HCPs and Galderma. The CLT is responsible for the co-creation of the strategic vision and operational focus for the Canadian organization.

The BUD has direct line supervision over a launch team and an in-line team, both comprised of sales and marketing team members. The BUD is accountable to lead the aligned brand strategies and tactical omnichannel plans through strong cross-functional leadership (medical, finance, market access, supply, etc), as well as maintaining strong lines of communication and collaboration with global and regional team members.

The BUD is externally (HCP- and patient-) focused and understands their market dynamics, identifies risks and opportunities, and can anticipate future trends.

The BUD has accountability to partner with our Authorized Generic partners effectively, to ensure that patients have optimized access to our medications.

The BUD has P&L accountability with a mandate to drive innovation and ambitious growth on in-line brands, while also maximizing performance for established brands and authorized generics. The BUD will leverage efficient go-to-market models through the deployment of robust omnichannel strategies and strategic partnerships.

The BUD is accountable for ensuring that the marketing strategies are pulled through with excellence in execution at every level, by ensuring focus and clarity in roles, and deliverables across the entire cross-functional team. The BUD is accountable to create and track performance against KPIs that demonstrate impact and attainment to our objectives.

The BUD is obsessed with developing talent and building a strong talent pipeline for Galderma Canada, and the global organization. The BUD also sets, and manages, a benchmark of excellence in performance expectations across the BU, and thereby attracts and retains top talent across the industry.

The BUD fosters a culture of inclusion and builds a high performing team that represents the diverse population of people we serve across Canada.

The BUD achieves all of the above to support our goal of being the #1 Pure-play dermatology company, and doing things the right way.
