Project Overview: To improve water governance and management issues in Pakistan to adapt to changing climate while ensuring environmental sustainability. The focusDAI seeks a driven and innovative NBS/TA Lead to provide technical leadership and in-country management for DAI's WRAP project and staff in Pakistan. The NBS/TA Lead will plan, develop, implement, and manage nature-based interventions to support innovative solutions to water issues and climate-change-induced disasters. They will coordinate closely with other WRAP components, provide technical assistance to government institutions, and ensure compliance with project guidelines and donor requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in grants management, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) principles.

NBS/ TA LEAD

Plan, develop, implement, and manage nature-based interventions for the program to support demonstration and upscaling of innovative solutions and approaches to water issues and humanitarian responses related to climate-change-induced disasters.

Coordinate closely with other WRAP program components i.e., Water Governance and Catalytic Fund.

Provide technical assistance to government institutions for adoption of nature-based solutions for water management and the upscaling of existing nature-based interventions.

Ensure compliance with project guidelines, donor requirements, and ethical standards in all activities related to Nature Based Solutions.

Demonstrated experience in grants management, including the ability to effectively administer funds, monitor grant activities, and ensure compliance with donor regulations and reporting requirements.

Proven track record of successfully managing grant-funded projects, preferably in the context of climate change adaptation, water governance, or humanitarian response.

Familiarity with best practices in grant-making processes, including proposal review, selection, and monitoring of grantee performance.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with potential grantees, partners, and stakeholders and build productive relationships.

Understanding of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) principles and experience in using MEL frameworks to assess project impact and effectiveness.
