Assistant Manager, Quality and OperationEntity Off-Campus Hospitals (Garden, Kharadar, Karimabad & Hyderabad) LocationIntroduction The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) is a not-for-profit healthcare institute that offers all medical services to their patients under one roof. In addition to the tertiary care hospital on Stadium Road, Karachi, AKUH has a network of 4 Off-Campus Hospitals, 18 Medical Centres, over 300 Clinical Laboratories, more than 50 Pharmacies in over 120 cities across Pakistan. It also offers Home Healthcare Services and home deliveries of medicines. The Hospital provides Zakat for those patients who are eligible, and the health systems offers generous Patient Welfare to support those in financial need. In recognition of its high quality and patient safety, the AKUH is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) as an Academic Medical Centre and its Clinical Laboratories are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) for fast and accurate testing. Responsibilities You will be responsible to carry out the following responsibilities for the 4 Off-Campus Hospitals with three located in Karachi and one in Hyderabad, Sindh: plan and implement the Quality and Patient Safety Programme (QPS) at the four locations in line with AKUH's policies and procedures.plan and manage effective compliance to quality and patient safety standards related to ISO 9001:2015, SafeCare, Sindh Health Care Commission and JCIA.plan and organise effective quality and patient safety internal and external audits as per schedulemanage timely closure of all internal and external audit findingsplan and deliver effective educational and training sessions on relevant aspects of quality and patient safety to the faculty and staff of hospitalsanalyse and prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reports on specific "Data Sets" and "Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)"related to different aspects of QPS programmeprepare and share specified quality and patient safety reports with respective hospital administrators, hospital quality improvement and patient safety committees, hospitals operating teams and leadership in a timely mannermanage patients complaint handling, incident/event reporting and risk management processesperiodically review and update quality and patient safety policies, procedures, pathways, and guidelinesact as quality and patient safety resource person for all the operating teams of Off-Campus Hospitals on relevant aspects of quality and patient safetylead and supervise the four QPS coordinators of Off-Campus Hospitals on all QPS related aspectsassist Off-Campus Hospitals leadership in few aspects of operations.Requirements You must have: a postgraduate degree (master's or equivalent qualification in a related area), applicants with medical and nursing backgrounds preferredan International professional certification in quality management, healthcare quality and patient safety and risk management will be an added advantagea minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience, including 2 to 3 years in a healthcare setting certified/accredited with ISO 9001 and JCIA standardsstrong leadership and management skills to influence and facilitate healthcare teams in changing existing day to day practices to the best evidence based practicesa quality and patient safety champion well versed with national and international industry trends and standardsability to deliver effective education and training sessions on various topics / aspects of quality, healthcare qualityand patient safety, and various quality standards and frameworksability to collect, organise, synthesize, compare and present various data sets in a meaningful way and familiarity with the use of technologies (information management, EHR and use of artificial intelligence) for data digitalization and automationexcellent communication and interpersonal skillssound computer knowledge including MS Office.Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Applications should be submitted latest by December 17, 2023
