The role With the acceleration of digital technologies, diverse procurement requirements are becoming an essential need to support and enable rapidly evolving digital business objectives. The Technology Procurement Analyst is a key player in the team, analyzing data, market trends, supplier performance, and other factors to make informed procurement decisions. The Technology Procurement function at Hays is a newly established function with an ambitious road-map, which will provide an exciting challenge to any prospective candidate. This opportunity offers a frontline role to support our Technology transformation efforts and will intervene across all Technology sub-categories. What you will need to succeed

  • Ability to ‘tell the story’ in a clear and coherent manner
  • Excellent interpersonal communications and presentation skills. Ability to interact at all levels
  • Highly efficient, with the energy and tenacity to see work through to completion, ensuring deadlines are met at all times;
  • Copes well with pressure and with appropriate organisational skills to manage a diverse range of tasks. Is analytical and process-oriented;
  • A team player with great people skills who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships;
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment with cross-functional teams;
  • Able to pitch own ideas using data-driven or value-based arguments
  • Unquestionable ethics and the desire to always do the right thing
  • A bachelor's degree in business or other management discipline. Certification by purchasing and supply chain professional bodies, such as the Institute of Supply Management (ISM) or the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is a plus;
  • Excellent analytical abilities with proficiency in data analysis and market research. Ability to clearly interpret findings from data: translate complex data into actionable insights to drive decision making;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (highly proficient in Excel) and Sourcing/Procurement solutions for e-sourcing, spend analytics, contract lifecycle management (CLM), market intelligence and Procure-to-Pay (P2P);
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of Technology operating models, best practice, and the application of enterprise strategies to meet business needs
  • Experience in a Procurement Analyst role or similar analytical role.
  • Previous experience of building spend cubes or spend analysis tools ‘from scratch’
  • Other functional experience in IT is a plus
  • Knowledge and use of P2P and CLM tools
