Business Segment: Insurance & Asset Management To be accountable for a portfolio of High Net worth Clients, by providing sound financial advice regarding their long-term wealth, estate and offshore planning enabled by optimal service, integrating and coordinating all Standard Bank products, services and resources in order to maximise the value of the business relationship and ensure profitability for the Bank and the Client. To drive new business acquisition by representing Standard Bank Offshore in the province and designated areas through training, supporting and servicing of the various distributions networks, both internally and externally. Provide a readily available, service focused, knowledgeable and experienced point of contact for new and existing stakeholders. To achieve the allocated Offshore Sales targets and assist in the achievement of the overall provincial Offshore Sales targets. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Type of Qualification: Completed secondary school/high school/A levels/Matric. Field of Study: Business Commerce Type of Qualification: 3 years business related qualification (NQF 6) Completion of Regulatory Examination Field of Study: Legal Experience Required Affluent Clients

The role requires relevant experience with specialist and technical knowledge in the financial services industry, in Wealth, Private Clients, Business Banking or Investment Banking. Experience in structuring business, personal as well as lending deals. Additional Information Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure origination via automated platforms, e.g. paperless/digital in attainment of the Offshore business objectives.
  • Ensures that a regular flow of new Offshore Business (in accordance with agreed designated area and offering) is sourced from the distribution networks.
  • Promotes Offshore products and services to the external distribution channels: Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs), Liberty, Multi-nationals and professional intermediaries.
  • Encourages support of Offshore products and services through the various internal channels, i.e. SBFC, Private Banking, Business Banking, CIB and Branch network.
  • Positions Offshore products and services as a value add to clients.
Internal and External Stakeholder Management:
  • Maintains a visible and active presence in the necessary Private Banking Suites and local markets.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with both internal and external distribution network.
  • Positions Offshore as first port of call to internal and external stakeholders for any Offshore related questions.
  • Actively manages network support by focusing on the 80/20 principle by maximizing various communication channels.
  • Present to both internal and external network to promote Offshore services.
Risk and Compliance:
  • Complete all compliance training within the required timeframes.
  • FAIS regulatory – Adopt a pro-active approach to supervision, where necessary, by adhering to the supervision process agreed with the KI & own supervisor.
  • Effective change management and adoption of projects and initiatives.
  • Integration of TCF principles especially at point of sale.
  • Identifies and minimizes risks for the Bank by ensuring that all regulatory requirements are adhered to when selling products to clients.
  • Minimizes risks for ensuring that offshore products and service offerings are promoted and positioned in a manner that is understood and meets client’s needs.
