Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora - Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District Location: Level 3, BNZ Tower, 14 Hartham Place, Porirua Service: CAMHS - Porirua Contract: Permanent, Full-time Salary: $83,708 - $135,200 per annum Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role CAMHS teams provide specialist mental health services for children and adolescents between the ages of birth and 19 years (inclusive) with indicators of significant mental health problems. If you are the successful applicant, you will become an integral part of supporting young people and their whanua / family. You will help provide assessments and interventions that help our client group achieve their goals. CAMHS is committed to the use of the CAPA model, a continuous service improvement model that combines personalised care and collaborative practice when partnering with service users and/or their whanau. Moū - About you You will be a registered psychologist with the NZ Psychologist Board, with an up-to-date annual practising certificate. We're also looking for:
- A sound knowledge of psychopathology and psychological theories.
- Ability to assess, diagnose and treat people experiencing coexisting mental health and addiction issues.
- Sound knowledge of psychometrics and experience with psychological testing.
- Ability to develop sound psychological formulations based on thorough assessments.
- Ability to provide interventions for clients with trauma.
- Ability to advise, consult, and educate the client and relevant others about treatment options.
- Ability to work alongside other mental health professionals.
